There are several school districts in the area that provide topnotch education to residents of schooling age. One of the best among them is the Midway Independent School District (ISD), ranked #15 among the Best School Districts in Texas by the 2015 Niche Rankings.
The Midway ISD operates 10 campuses (6 elementary schools, 2 intermediate, 1 middle school, and 1 high school) and serves the following communities: Waco, Woodway, Hewitt, Speegleville, and parts of McGregor, Crawford, and Lorena.
