Dining and Shopping
It seems like there’s no escaping from shopping, even if you’re in the so-called Heart of Texas. A short drive to Waco’s Richland Mall will instantly take a shopaholic to paradise. With approximately 700,000 square feet of retail space, it’s quite impossible to head out of the mall without picking up a special something.
Located in Downtown Waco, Spice Village will delight every shopaholic. Built in 1908, it’s safe to say that the warehouse-turned-shopping complex is a Waco institution loved by many. Offering the best “destination shopping” experience in Central Texas, Spice Village is a collection of shops where one can find a variety of products, from apparel, to home décor and vintage finds. Whether one is shopping on a budget or ready to splurge, Spice Village is the best place to sample Wacoan goods. Restaurants and services can also be enjoyed here. If Richland Mall is the mainstream individual, Shops of River Square Center is its hipster cousin.
Central Texas Marketplace is Waco’s premiere shopping destination with easy access from both I-35 and S-Loop 340/Highway 6. Anchored by Belk, Kohl’s, Ross, Marshalls, Bed, Bath & Beyond and Cabela’s the center also includes national tenants LOFT, World Market, Old Navy, Gap, Kirkland’s and Pier 1.
Lane’s is a shop located in a beautiful old home on Austin Avenue. It is one of the finest specialty shops anywhere. You can find anything from fine china, children’s clothes and a gift for any occasion. Lane’s carries Jon Hart, Jan Barboglio, Mackenzie Childs, Herend, Juliska and Beatriz Ball.
Sironia’s on Austin is more than a popular lunchtime spot. It’s a place where you can find unique gifts, children’s clothing, women’s clothing and specialty jewelry. Inside Sironia’s you can dine at Amelia’s which specializes in serving brunch and lunch food.
